Frequently Asked Questions ~

What is the difference between part and full-service planning?

Part-service planning is the most popular package that couples choose. Part-service planning is for the couple that still wants to be involved in the planning process. The relationship between myself and the couple is more fluid, with decisions on who does what being something they can decide. For example, they may want to create the floor plans, but have me be more involved with deciding on vendors. Or they might want me to find and book a shuttle service, but they will handle meal count communication to the venue.

What if I want to change my level of service half-way through the planning process?

That’s okay! We will simply renegotiate your contract and re-delegate tasks. As we continue to work together, I will keep track of the amount of work/tasks that I am doing and will make sure to communicate if the chosen plan continues to be appropriate.

We aren’t sure what we are looking for, or if we even need a planner. What do we do?!

If you aren’t sure where to start, but you are interested in hearing more about how I can benefit you as your wedding planner, let’s start with a cup of coffee! I can tell you a few of my positive and negative experiences as both a wedding coordinator and a wedding guest where a coordinator wasn’t present. We can work out the best package for you, even if it means customizing what that might look like.

What are the next steps?

Send me an email or give me a call! I will reach back out ASAP to set up a time and connect in person. Once we sit down and discuss details about your wedding, we can chat about what level of service you might be interested in. If we both feel the fit is right, I will send over a contract. A 50% deposit is due upon signing. And then, let the planning begin!

What does your schedule look like on my wedding day?

Despite what level of service you choose, my tasks on every wedding day are very similar:

  • Early arrival

  • Set-up all decor/tables/furniture etc. that other vendors do not already do to make sure your ceremony and reception space is EXACTLY how you dreamed it!

  • Meet all vendors for drop-offs/arrivals

  • Keep all vendors and guests on schedule

  • Lead the processional

  • Check in with you throughout the day to ensure you are doing AMAZING

  • Make executive decisions if needed

  • Handle all additional tasks as they arise (ie, adjusting tables for last minute cancellations, assisting bar with set-up, setting up the first look, etc.)

  • Organize all items at the end of the night (gifts, decor, rentals, etc)

  • Late departure (I am always the last one at the venue)

  • And SO much more!

What is your favorite part about being a wedding planner?

My favorite part about being a wedding planner is actually FEELING the love and magic in the air on wedding days. I have worked with some amazing couples, meeting for multiple cups of coffee and talking on the phone for hours to make sure their vision comes to life. I like getting to know how you and your partner met, what you do for work, what your dogs name is, and why I need to keep tabs on how many bar visits Uncle Steve has had throughout the night. Seeing the happiness on your faces when you walk back down that aisle makes the months of planning a million times worth it!
